MEASURING PRINCIPLE
Pesco Coriolis mass flowmeters, according to the principle of Coriolis, let the meter tube vibrate when there is a medium passing through. The sensor detects and analyzes the change in frequency, phase difference, and temperature of the meter tube. So that it can directly measure the mass flow of the medium, and density is calculated by vibrate frequency. Other process variables also can be obtained, like volume flow and temperature.
Measuring Mass Flow
The Driving-coil inside the sensor of the Pesco Coriolis Mass Flowmeters guarantees the meter tube keeps vibrating. If there are no media passing through the meter tube, it will vibrate evenly. While the substance is transported or distributed via the meter tube of the sensor, the inertia of media causes the vibration of the meter tube to distort according to it, resulting in different direction vibrations in the pipe inlet and the pipe outlet.
Detecting coils in the inlet and in the outlet of Pesco Coriolis Mass Flowmeters precisely detect and record the change that happened in time and space about the vibration of the tube. Through proprietary algorithms, calculate this phase difference, which is converted to an instantaneous flow rate then, integrates this instantaneous flow rate and obtain the flowing mass of the media finally.
Density Measurement
Meter tubes inside the sensor vibrate at an inherent frequency while the Pesco Coriolis Mass Flowmeter is working. The change of density inside the tube would cause the resonant frequency of the meter tube to be changed. Precisely measure the density of the media throughout the tube by detecting the resonant frequency of the meter tube and calibrating calculations using proprietary algorithms.
Volume Flow Measurement
Calculate the volume flow by measuring mass flow and density.
Temperature Measurement
A temperature transducer is equipped inside the sensor, so temperature parameters can be directly obtained.
